Happy New Years, Gutes Neues Jahr and Multiple expressions used in other languages, i wish you all a fantastic 2009 and that you enjoy more good moments than bad haha, we all know bad moments happen.
My New Years celebration was very fun and very funny. It started at 8pm and the 8 of us at daniels party, Me, Daniel, Sina, Vicky, Uli, Jo-Jo, Patrick and Sophia all had Raclette for dinner, which is like a mini oven where everyone gets a tray each and can cook their own food so noone doesnt eat what that dont like.
After that we had Sekt, which is like Champagne, to celebrate the good times we have had over the Year.
And then......the fun started, we played Ligretto while slightly tipsy which was funny, then we played a drinking game which made everyone happy, and then we went out into the fields behind daniels house to watch the Fireworks go off around Pflugfelden. Sky Rockets should be re-allowed in NZ because they are awesome!!
It was a awesome evening and im sure i havent done it much justice by trying to describe it over blog, but my new years evening was fantastic, not as great as it was for others haha (inside joke) but it was alot of German fun.
Love Hamish

Hi from Waitarere, Nana, Barry & Michaela are up here today. Barry had his first swim in the sea for 2009. Lots of body board rides in the fast, huge waves - you would have loved it! Lovely fine weather. Have a great time in France & enjoy it to the max! Tell us about the highlights when you get back. Happy New Year to you, Daniel & his Family. Barry saw the temperature in Paris was -1. Apparantley very cold for there! How are you surviving the cold in Germany? It must be hard when it goes down to -5. Lots of love: Barry, Michaela, Nana, Tash, David & Robyn xox
